Organizations who have participated in BHFF Panels and Discussions in Previous Years:

  • WGAw – The Writers Guild of America, west (WGAw), is a labor union composed of the thousands of writers who write the television shows, movies, news programs, documentaries, animation, CD-ROMs, and content for new-media technologies. It was founded in 1921. wga.org
  • PGA – The Producers Guild of America is a trade union representing television producers, film producers and new media producers in the United States. Started in 1962, the PGA's membership now includes over 3,500 members of the producing team worldwide. producersguild.org

  • DGA – Founded in 1936, the Directors Guild of America is a labor union which represents the interests of over 10,000 film and television directors in the United States motion picture industry. dga.org
  • SAG – The Screen Actors Guild is an American labor union founded in 1933, it now represents over 120,000 film and television principal performers and background performers worldwide. sag.org

  • ASC - The American Society of Cinematographers is an invitation-only, educational, cultural, and professional organization founded in 1919. Membership is extended only to directors of photography and special effects experts with distinguished credits in the film industry. theasc.com/
  • ACE - Founded in 1950, American Cinema Editors is an honorary society of film editors that are voted in based on the qualities of professional achievements, their education of others, and their dedication to editing itself. Ace-filmeditors.org
